This study analyzes working hours and wages by considering workers’ educational background gender response to change offshoring. Matched worker–firm panel data Japanese manufacturing sector covering 1998 2014 are used. The analysis leads following three observations. First, offshoring does not significantly alter skill premium gap terms scheduled monthly salaries hourly wages. Second, decreases annual wages, whereas it increases salaries. Third, this uneven impact variables arises from different changes overtime hours: college graduates work longer with lower premium, female workers do increase work.
